No, for me it has not changed and never will. A family is either a married couple of husband (male) and wife (female) or the same husband and wife with kids.
This answer adheres to largely Christian and colonial gender and social values that restrict harmless possibilities for people to live their best lives, such as by excluding polyamorous or queer relationships and the traditional communal method of raising children.
Homosexuality, "polyamory," and "queer relationships," are all moral abominations before God that corrupt the moral fibre of those who engage in them and destroy civilisations. God created human beings male and female, with the intent that one man would marry one woman for life, and that the man would provide for his family while the woman raised children. This is how mankind was created to live, and it is only in a society that adheres strictly to this model that happiness, security, and liberty, can be found.

Family is a Mother, Father and Kids who love and support each other and help get through rough times.
@9KSRZMQ2mos2MO
While nuclear families are idealized, excluding single-parent households, same-sex parents, and legal guardians from the definition of family only harms people from making the most out of their circumstances.
@9JY7FGV3mos3MO
A family is someone who takes care and cares for you, blood doesn't always equal family
@9K226MN3mos3MO
A family is your flesh and blood relatives. Sometimes they are flawed and imperfect but they are still family.

I believe in individual responsibility and self-reliance, which I highly value. I also recognize that family is not solely defined by blood relations but by care and support. This reinforces the idea that individuals have the power to form their support networks and take care of one another.
I firmly believe that strong families are the foundation of strong communities. Recognizing non-biological connections as a family promotes inclusivity and support within communities, which fosters compassion and strengthens social bonds.
I support policies that promote adoption and foster care, as they pro… Read more

I believe that it is proven in history that it is how you are raised rather than where you are born that dictates your life which i feel means that who takes care of you or raises you is more important
@9JV6GHWRepublican3mos3MO
Family, for me, is the typical Male father, Female mother, and then children. It has not, nor will it ever evolve. This is how God made us, and how I understand it. Sure, there are times when there will be a single parent household, and that can’t be helped, but sometimes, like in a divorce, that can’t be helped.
@9JVNN563mos3MO
@9JVM46M3mos3MO
sometimes blood fmily doesnt make them family. its how they treat you and how much respect and trust you are given
@9KR8LLR2mos2MO
Mom and dad and children. My definition has not changed

@9K4W7SS3mos3MO
Family are the peoplle who support and love you whether they are blood or not.
@9K4WN8G3mos3MO
I think family doesn't have anything to do with blood family is what is described but its the ones that are there for you love you and know you for YOU no matter what. Blood doesn't mean anything, someone in your family can be your worst enemy.
@9JWQPCT3mos3MO
Family consists of a group of people who are related to each other by blood. It has never evolved for me.
@9JY3JSN3mos3MO
Family can include anyone that you choose to be your family, not just by blood relation. You could be adopted or choose friends to become your family, as not everyone has blood relatives that they like.
@9JY4MZS3mos3MO
I feel that family does not require blood, its the people that help you at your lowest and take care of you
@9JZG46X3mos3MO
Family is those you can rely on to be there for you when you need them to and won't make you feel bad for relying upon them, regardless of blood
@9K69QGB3mos3MO
Family is the people that you decide is; it doesn't have to be blood. This definition has definitely evolved over time. As a child you are only taught that family is through blood and blood only but, as you grow up and you start to hear stories and learning more about the world around you. Then you come to realized that family can be anyone you decide it to be.
@9KDTQS53mos3MO
I feel that no matter who your blood family is they may not act as family. I have friends that are more like family then my own family
@9KDPQQR3mos3MO
I agree because people that are blood and not blood towards you can call family or not but at the end of the day it’s the people the stay by your that is your family related or not
@9JX2JN33mos3MO
Family is whoever you choose to hold close to you. It has nothing to do with blood ties.
@9JZ8FCY3mos3MO
If you love someone like family then they are a part of your family. It has some to do with the ties to your biological family but family is who you hold close and care about.
@9JZ7WPP3mos3MO
Families are related to each other so we have blood ties to each other because we all were born into our families.
It depends. There's a biological family, which is based on genetics, and there's a social family, who you form your closest bonds with, even stronger than with friends, who raised you most likely, it doesn't have to be anyone biologically related to you.
@9K9ZPKTPeace and Freedom3mos3MO
Being family by blood doesn't really mean you're family. You have to make connections and relationships with your family in order to be a real family.
@9K9MY2PRepublican3mos3MO
sometimes family sucks and your real family becomes the people who care about you with no obligation
@9K3M8NW 3mos3MO
A family isn't just the people who birthed you or helped birth you, it's everyone who can help you and will be there even when you're at your lowest
@9K6WCF93mos3MO
From personal ideals and experiences, I'm closer to my friends and others than my family quite often.
@itsmesilly_arii3mos3MO
A family is not just the people who raised you. Your family can be step-parents, step-siblings', etc. Family is just the people you love and care about.
@9K3DN593mos3MO
Family used to be a concept everyone wanted but now I feel like people push that away.
Family is a group of people, not necessarily biologically related, who choose to live and work together.
@9K3MF9H3mos3MO
There are lots of people out there that still want a family, it's just not as common. It's okay to not want a family, just as it's okay to seek out a familial relationship.
Family i would say is simply those you hold close and care for, more than simply friends of course but it doesn't need to be by blood or marriage.
@9JZ6JM63mos3MO
I agree completely family is not just blood or marriage. Rather it's those you are the closest and share a special bond with
@9JZ3GVBProgressive3mos3MO
These ideas of family being those who you hold dear legitimizes groups that once we looked down upon, it let people live their lives in a way that allows them to be happy
@9JY527Y3mos3MO
Family are people who have always been with you through thick and thin no matter what has happened. Family is someone who will tell you the truth instead of lying to you. Family doesn't have to be blood.
@9JYJYR73mos3MO
The family are people who help and fight for good and times and they stop loving you for who u are because they love you that much. Some people don't have blood family their close friends are like family to them.
@9JZF958Independent3mos3MO
Family is the those who you're related to and those who are closest to you in life.
