How does the potential withholding of U.S. military aid from Israel affect your view on the importance of human rights in international relations?

 @9LWK7S4Constitution  from Oklahoma answered…2wks2W

I mean We shouldn't be sending them military aid anyways. I mean we need to stay out of other's countries unless we were asked for help or they are attacking us. As for sending military aid if those check either boxes, yeah until those results are done being investigated don't send any and threaten them that if they hear about it and find out later it is true, complete withdraw and that country needs to reimburse them for the costs sending in that military aid occurred during that time.

We do not need to get involved with other country’s relations unless necessary

The US is actively complicit in the genocide of Gaza and Palestine. They have sent billions of money for weapons while the US’s own citizens continue to suffer from gun violence, discrimination, housing crises, etc. Our freedom of speech and right to peacefully protest against the funding of a genocide through our tax dollars are being infringed upon by the police state and censoring from the media.

Human rights is a God -given rights but we cannot allow anyone to abuse that rights for their own personal agenda. Some people abuse their right as human to violate the acceptable standard of society. There is law to follow that protect individual from abuse.

Honestly, this whole situation with the U.S. scrutinizing the Israeli military unit for alleged human rights abuses strikes me as a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand, it's clear that human rights should never be disregarded, and any abuses should be taken seriously, no matter where they occur. Yet, I can't help but think about the broader implications of the U.S. potentially withholding aid from Israel. It's a complex issue, because while accountability is crucial, we also have to consider the strategic importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship, especially in such a vol…  Read more

It's high time we address the violence and prioritize peace and human rights in all our actions and policies, especially in complex situations like these.

Finally, it seems like the U.S. is starting to recognize the troubling patterns of behavior by the Israeli military that we've been protesting against for years. It's about time these allegations of human rights abuses are taken seriously, and I hope this leads to real accountability and change.
